Built on discipline, earned experience, and a deep respect for the ocean.

Ranger Outdoor Adventure Sportfishing reflects a lifetime spent outdoors, shaped by military service, mentorship, and years of learning offshore. From freshwater beginnings to blue-water pursuits, every trip is guided by preparation over luck, safety over shortcuts, and the belief that the best adventures are the ones shared with family and those who trust you on the water.

I was born and raised around the outdoors. Freshwater lakes, open water, ice fishing, and hunting — if it was outside, I was there. Long before offshore runs and blue water, my foundation was built on learning seasons, reading conditions, and respecting the environments that provide the opportunity in the first place.

In 2008, I joined the U.S. Army as an infantryman. Over the course of my service, I completed three combat deployments, earning the Combat Infantryman’s Badge and later the Expert Infantryman’s Badge. I graduated Ranger School, Air Assault School, and multiple leadership courses — experiences that permanently shaped how I approach preparation, accountability, and decision-making under pressure. While stationed in Colorado, I continued pushing myself outside of uniformed work and became a certified Divemaster. Operating in demanding environments — underwater, remote, and unforgiving — felt familiar.

In 2017, my family moved to Charleston, South Carolina, where my wife began her Air Force career as a C-17 pilot. That move marked the beginning of my saltwater chapter. I trained scuba students offshore, spent time spearfishing grouper and hogfish, and learned to work comfortably beyond the beach. Somewhere between dives, my wife accidentally caught a mahi — and that moment flipped a switch.

From that day forward, I was hooked on targeting pelagic fish. As our family grew, so did my commitment to offshore fishing. What started as curiosity turned into an obsession — learning weather, water, structure, systems, and fish behavior through repetition and failure. In 2020, I connected with Lance LeHew through social media. What followed were countless hours offshore, a lot of fuel, hard lessons, and steady progress. When he purchased his 47’ Viking, Triple Net, he gave me the opportunity to step into a larger role — running offshore trips with real responsibility, real clients, and real consequences if things weren’t done right. Today, Ranger Outdoor Adventure Sportfishing reflects the full arc of that journey. It’s built on earned experience — not shortcuts. On preparation instead of luck and respect for the ocean and the people who trust me with their time on it.

Now, as a family of six, the water is still where we come together — not just to fish, but to build memories and pass along the values that shaped me. That’s what Ranger Outdoor Adventure is about.
